Each Den level in the Pack will race among itself. All competitors must follow the Mayflower Council rules.

In particular, the car must be constructed entirely by the scout and his helper, and must use the components in the official BSA kit. No professionally constructed cars or professionally modified components may be used. Only the slightest smoothing of the official wheels is permitted — no reshaped or lathe turned wheels are allowed. Cars that violate the rules will be disqualified.

Following the Den races, we will have races where siblings or parents can participate. Concurrent with the races, a “style committee” will judge the cars on appearance; and ribbons for design will be awarded. The top racers from the pack will be eligible to participate in the District Pinewood Derby Race.
